Applications Available for Lincoln’s Downtown Performance Series (Thursday, February 4, 2010) FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASEFebruary 3, 2010 For more information contact: Deb Johnson (402) 434-6901 Lincoln, NE – The 26th Annual Downtown Performance Series produced by Updowntowners is once again accepting applications for performers. The popular annual series takes place in the beautiful Lincoln Community Foundation Gardens at 1415 N Street (behind Korn Popper) from noon to 1:00 p.m. every Wednesday beginning May 19 through August 25, 2010. “The Downtown Performance Series is a staple summer event for Lincoln’s downtown and has been a vibrant part of its entertainment for 26 years. The series is a place for our community to gather and enjoy a variety of talented performers in the beautiful gardens. Updowntowners is pleased to offer this free noon hour event to the community again this year,” said Deb Johnson, Updowntowners, Inc. Executive Director. “The summer concert series attracts a wide variety of professionals, families, daycares, tourists, and senior citizens. We have a very diverse audience demographic and make every effort to accommodate their tastes. All performers interested to taking part in the series are encouraged to apply,” said Johnson.
